∙ 14y agoThe books do not give an actual age for them, but they are labeled as being "fairly young". As seen in the movie New Moon and explained in the books though, they are not fully grown. They are both short, young adults at most -- it's probable that they are around the age of 15, yes.
The Volturi's leader Aro had originally changed the two into vampires whilst searching for more powerful vampires to add to his growing collection. He'd kept them 'old enough' to not be 'vampire children' (which are further explained in Breaking Dawn) while still adding them to his collection before they had actually reached adulthood.
