Maybe he was. For some reason Dad and Lad ( human) did not seem to be an ideal Father and Son Team- like Swift or Hardy Bros. Dad was somewhat distant and remote. Big Mom got all the dialogue and action shots. I often wondered why the old man was such a remote character. I never recall his name even- the Mother was Ruth Martin (show name) acted by June Lockhart- I don:t even recall the dad"s first name. There were other adult characters such as the farmer Mr. Cully- but no juvenile pals or side-kicks, at least on regular basis. One, no several flaws of the Lassie show.
definitely timmy all he can say is timmy
Some of the characteristics of the South Park character known as Timmy are that he is a handicapped young man with a bright sense of self-esteem. He is known for his enthusiastic shouting of his own name. The character is treated as an equal on South Park and he is well liked by many fans.
I cannot locate any information that there's a 'new girl' for the next season of Fairly OddParents. If they are introducing a new character for an episode, it's certainly possible she could be a new love interest for Timmy.

Timmy Burch makes his first appearance on the TV series South Park in the first episode of the fourth season, "The Tooth Fairy Tats 2000". At the time of introduction, he was a minor character.
Lassie
The actor Jon Provost (that is how he spelled it) played the role. He is still alive as is the Mother Character, June Lockhart
Lassie was the name of Timmy's dog.

Tommy Rettig, as Jeff, was the first owner of Lassie. Jan Clayton played his mother. When he got to old, the story line had Jon Provost cast as being adopted, both by the Martin's and Lassie making the choice to stay with Timmy on the farm. In the original transition, Timmy's mother was played by Cloris Leachman for one eposide. The series with Tommy Rettig was renamed "Jeff's Collie" much later, I guess to separate the two stars. There was also a Canadian "Lassie" series a few years ago with Corey Sevier as Lassie's owner.
No, I believe he is deceased. Jon Provost, the familiar (Timmy) of the Provost-Lockhart Lassie period, as a flag of convenience the (Provost-Lockhart Lassie) is still alive, as is Miss Lockhart.
If you are referring to what gender Lassie was portrayed as on the show, Lassie was a female dog. However, the dogs that were used to play the character were actually male. This is because male collies have a thicker summer coat and producers thought the coat would air better on the television screen. Also, male dogs tend to be bigger then females, so the child who played Timmy would be able to work with the dog for a longer period of time before outgrowing him.

Timmy Turner
Yes. There is a character called Timmy Vermicelli in Driv3r who wears the same Hawaiian shirt as Tommy Vercetti did in GTA Vice City. It is supposed to be a spoof of the GTA character. Timmy in Driv3r is also wearing inflatable armbands, to make fun of Tommy's inability to swim.
