I have not seen the origonal doc Martin Prequel movie for ages, but from memory, this final scene solves a mystery about a beast in the village or something.
Final Destination 5, The Blair Witch Project, Dead Snow, The Human Centipede, Dawn of the Dead [2004], Original Night of the Living Dead.The Cabin in the Woods technically had 2 main cast survivors at the end but the point of the movie was the 'gods' were going wipe out humanity & it's also reasonable to assume they died when the cabin went skyward.
