The Tower Towers is timely in that it came out between the first and third movies of the trilogy. It is timeless because it seems to go on much longer then it takes to eat a standard order of movie popcorn.
The first in the trilogy is The Fellowship of the Ring,then comes The Two Towers and last but most assuredly not least, Return of the King. That is the order that JRR Tolkien wrote them, that is the order that Peter Jackson produced them, and that is the order which I highly recommend you watch them.
