The fictional character Palpatine, in antagonist in the Star Wars saga, first appeared as the unnamed empire of the Galactic Empire in the film Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back.
Unlike in the first LEGO Star Wars game, Emperor Palpatine/Darth Sidious is able to use Force lightning along with wielding a lightsaber.
No, he does not. Darth Vader's first apprentice (Galen Marek/Starkiller) is killed by Emperor Palpatine/Darth Sidious.

Yes and no. Have you seen ep3 when Palpatine tells Aniken that Darth Plagueis the Whites could save people from dying except himself but then told Aniken that his apprentice killed him in his sleep after he learned Plaguies' skills? Well, the apprentice was Palpatine. So when Vader threw him over, in 4 ABY, he died. Then in a cloned body, Palpatine came alive again but died in 10 ABY, then he died in another clone body, also in 10 ABY, then in 11 ABY, Palpatine, in his last body, tried to transfer his spirit into Aniken Solo, but was shot by Han Solo, and his soul, prior to his death tried to escape to another body but former Jedi, Empatojayos Brand sacrificed himself to get Palpatine's fleeing soul and bound himself to it and brought it into the far depths of the Force, and in English, he was dead forever and permanently. Oh and by the way, ''ABY'' is basically like AD, like 10 ABY is like AD. 2009. The only difference with ABY is it is 368days with 24 hours in each day. I hope I answered your question :).In other words, he may have died or may not. But anyway, NOTE: If he did live when he was thrown down, that would NOT tickle.

George Lucas never specified Palpatine's first name, though I've seen the name "Dantius" being thrown around quite a bit.
The only one he didn't appear in was the first film "A New Hope."
