Like most characters in comics in 1939, he did at first, but after a comic in which he shot giant mutants to death (in Batman#1, 1940), the DC staff decided Batman should never kill or carry a gun (he uses guns sometimes if he comes across one, but never brings ag un on a mission). After being revised in 1964, Batman would never kill and usually neither would his villains (it was all heavily censored). The censorship was eased in the 70s. very recently Batman did kill and use a gun, but it wasn't a simple retcon or editorial mistake, it was a decision made in Batman's mind to make an exception.

Yes, besides the fact that batman is rich, smart, quick, etc. He in fact is still human. Batman has no gene mutations nor anything else a normal human being couldn't obtain eventually. The fact that he is really smart, has quick reflexes, a knowledge of mostly every Martial Arts, really cool gadgets, and is filthy rich Batman is like everyone else. So he doesn't have some invincibility or some weakness such as superman does. Now having said that I imagine it would be extremely hard to kill Batman especially since he takes precautions against it such as armor etc.

Not really he only kills bad people for good reasons if you look at it i guess he is. But if he does ever kill its always a bad person
