Her baby is born once she puked up the blood the baby drank and her eyes rolled back into her head. While she was unconscious, Edward Cullen, her husband, took a knife and cut her stomach open to perform an emergency c-section. Though his father Carlisle, the town doctor, was "hunting" with his wife Esme, Edward was able to save Bella by stabbing her heart with a shot full of his venom, and continuously biting her to help the spread of the venom. After 2 days of of Edward pushing on her heart and biting her, she "lives" as a newborn vampire with the power to nearly skip over the craving for blood and never kill a human.
