This would be a bit of a personal preference kind of thing. I personally thought they did a great job in the anime with the art work and music; also the storyline was very closely followed with according to the manga- which is the true storyline- and the character development was spot on. Personally I would say that watch the anime if you would like a more visual and colourful telling of the story, but all in all they are essentially the same.

Well, if you want a good manga/anime I would definitely recommend fruits basket and chobits.I recommend Bleach, and Kaichou Wa Maid Sama! Kaichou is more cute, where as Bleach is more intense. XDDNoblesse, it takes a while to get into but you'll love it. there's shiawase kissa sanchoume, barajou no kiss, stray love hearts, samurai high school, DEFINITELY BLEACH that also takes a while to get into and the drawings get WAY better.
