Lauren Alaina and Scotty McCreery have officially denied the rumor that they are dating.
Lauren and Scotty were the last two contestants standing on American Idol 10, with Scotty eventually taking the win. The two have reported that they are definitely best friends, but nothing more.
Rumors of the two being more than friends have abounded throughout their season of American Idol. The fact that Lauren laid a big smooch on Scotty after his AI win really set the rumor mill ablaze.
However, after the finale, the two once denied the rumors with Lauren stating that they are only "really good friends" and Scotty stating that he is "still single."
No they are not. The kiss was planned by Lauren as sort of a joke. Scotty didn't think she'd actually do it but she sure did. In an interview with my local radio station (94.7 QDR, the station he listens to at home) he told them that he and Lauren are like brother and sister and nothing more than that.

∙ 11y agono one knows for sure, but he has been spending alot of time lately with gabi dugal, the two of them have been friends since they were 3 years old, gabi did tweet that scotty was her "main sqeeze" on his birthday.
