If the prophecy wasn't misread, the "Chosen One" should be Anakin Skywalker, due to the fact he has more "midoclorians" than Master Windu Master Yoda, known to be one of the most powerful Jedi ever! Though it is unclear, because due to "The Tragedy of Darth Plagious the Wise" He could have been created by Palpatine's Master.

Yes he is. But Luke is the real chosen one. In the prophecy it said that Anakin will turn bad and he does. When he did and Luke was born, Darth Vader killed Anakin because he turned bad. So Luke became the chosen one.

Yes he was. He turned to the dark side but he was turned back to the light side by his son. He killed the Emperor and restored balance to the force.
Yes, maybe anakin's son nearly was the Chosen one but ankin did kill the emperor so that means he destroyed the Sith Order and bought balance to the force

Luke and Anakin, as a team, are both chosen to bring balance to the force. In the newest trilogy the Jedi's ability to "see" are clouded by Palpatine and his Sith powers unknowingly. To see the actual prophecy would have been also clouded by the dark side, therefore giving a misinterpreted answer. The prophecy also stated that "Skywalker would bring balance to the force" without stating a full name. Both Luke and Anakin needed each other in order to complete the prophecy. Without Luke Anakin would have been lost to the dark side never to redeem himself and without Anakin Luke would have been killed by the emperor.
