No, contrary to popular belief, New Zealand doesn't have a cannibal season. With the increase of tourist numbers over the past decade, due in part to the "Clean Green" ad campain that has been running overseas, tourists are now plentiful enough that we find no reason to impose restrictions.
In line with the fishing guideline however, daily limits and size restrictions have been imposed, and no more than 3 tourists can be taken, with a minimum length of 5'5" (measured without shoes)
