Caracas itself is not directly on the coast. You have to go a little bit to the north (15 km) to get to the coast and then you'll be in the Vargas state which is on the coast of the Caribbean Sea.

The country shares similar climate, flora and fauna. Today Trinidad is approximately 6 or 7 miles from Venezuela and the countries engage in a lot of trade as well as other Latin American countries.
