it depends on how tall he or she is that might be overweight but then again most kids starting to get into there preteen years weigh in the range of 100-110 he may exceed that a little but it's something you can do about it get him or her involved into some type of sport or give them some extra chores or something to get there metabolism going so that they exert that extra energy and smooth out a bit. But don't worry about until it either their weight increases quickly then you might want to do portion control on their food
