Not exactly. A perceptual region doesn't have distinct boundaries and is more represented by the feelings and attitudes of those who live in the area. An example would be "The Bible Belt" of the United States. The multiple Chinatowns that exist in the U.S. are composed of actual districts or neighborhoods in which the population is predominantly of Chinese origin.
