They eat sticks and stuff in the wild but I have camped in a area with wild donkeys and they have stolen a freshly shot squirrel that I had just skinning in camp. I was using the bathroom I come back and one of them was just chewing on it. I just let him take it, I don’t think he really ate it maybe just got some of the juices from it haha I’m not sure
