I suppose, technically speaking, fissure is a ground move and would therefore be super effective against Metagross; but, seeing as it is a one-hit KO move, super effective or not is moot point.

Fissure is really, REALLY inaccurate, but can instantly knock out any Pokemon as long as the opponent is equal to or less than the level of the user. Otherwise the move will fail.

Yea its a one hit KO move. it doesn't matter if its super-effective or not..anything fissure hits dies...

You can use it wisely..for instance a strategy is to teach it to a Pokemon that knows LOCK ON or any of those moves that ensures the next move will hit =) use lock on first and then use fissure the following turn =)
