Isohexadecane is not classified as a mineral oil; rather, it is a synthetic hydrocarbon derived from petroleum. While mineral oil is a byproduct of refining crude oil and consists of a mixture of alkanes, isohexadecane is specifically a branched-chain alkane with a defined structure. It is often used in cosmetics and personal care products due to its emollient properties and low toxicity.
Tin and petroleum are the two main mineral resources that are of major significance in the Malaysian economy. Malaysia was once the world's largest producer of tin until the collapse of the tin market in the early 1980s. In the 19th and 20th centuries, tin played a predominant role in the Malaysian economy. It was only in 1972 that petroleum and natural gas took over from tin as the mainstay of the mineral extraction sector.

Petroleum is the major mineral export.
Petroleum is a liquid mixture of hydrocarbons. It does not have a streak luster, hardness, or crystal system as it is not a mineral but rather a naturally occurring substance derived from organic matter.

No, petroleum jelly does not contain gasoline. Petroleum jelly is made from a mixture of mineral oils and waxes, while gasoline is a refined petroleum product used as fuel for engines.

Yes, Vaseline is a brand of petroleum jelly, and it does contain petroleum-derived ingredients. It is made from a combination of mineral oils and waxes, which are byproducts of the petroleum refining process.
A mineral needs to be inorganic (no carbon in it and petroleum DEFINITELY has carbon) and a mineral also needs to be a solid and have a crystal structure, which only solids have. A2-out of curiosity and to learn more, I looked up "mineral" in Wikipedia. Certainly it should be a solid, crystalline, and have a defined chemical composition. Thus mixtures of minerals as often found are excluded, at least until separated. Interestingly, the Wiki article does mention organic minerals including hydrocarbons! A complication is that the term "mineral oil" is often used to describe liquids obtained from crude oil. These come under a separate Wikipedia heading for Mineral Oils. However it appears to strictly be a misnomer, some other name such as "Natural Non-Vegetable Oils" might be better but the present use of the term Mineral Oil is probably too well established.
Petroleum is not a mineral because it is an organic substance derived from the remains of ancient plants and animals, while minerals are inorganic compounds with a crystalline structure formed in nature. Petroleum is a complex mixture of hydrocarbons, whereas minerals are naturally occurring solid substances with a specific chemical composition.
Both of these natural resources are non living. So I'm not sure.
