Recess is generally not included in the number of minutes required for physical education (PE) classes. PE typically refers to structured physical activity led by an instructor, focusing on skill development, fitness, and health education. Recess, on the other hand, is unstructured playtime allowing students to engage in physical activity on their own. However, policies may vary by school district, so it's best to check local guidelines for specifics.
You can't. The number of minutes and hours in school are set by the state and not the school. More recess would mean more school day. The school and teachers have to count the number of minutes in the school day.

Most states require a certain number of minutes per day of classes or they require certain classes in each grade. While there is nothing bad about middle schools having recess, most middle schools have to squeeze a lot of classes into each day, and they do not have time for recess. Most schools opt for a shorter day without recess over a longer day with recess.
Kids' recesses are absolutely necessary for good education. Recesses promote exercise and hand-eye coordination, which are both required for successful education. 15 minutes is a good, minimum time.
In a Chinese school, recess typically lasts around 20-30 minutes, while lunch break usually lasts for about 60-90 minutes. The specific duration can vary depending on the school's schedule and policies.
42 minutes because that is the amount of time students need to get their energy out and not get detention
Still looking for a real answer to this question for Florida schools. Florida labor laws say that a half hour break for every 4 hours worked is required for workers under the age of 18, but so far I have found nothing about school lunches. My son's school just went to 30 minute combined lunch and recess with the state requiring 20 minutes for recess. So, lunch is now 10 minutes in a school with over 70% of the students on free or reduced lunch.
15 minutes each in the morning (around 10h00) and in the afternoon (around 15h00) and a lunch break of an hour and a half.
No of course not _____________________ Yes, actually, they do have a sort of 'recess' in middle school. They're allowed out - usually for anywhere between 20-45 minutes - and then brought back inside. The only real difference is that there's usually little or no play equipment in middle school.
