Roadrunner is a species of bird in the genus Geococcyx. It does fully exist, and that's what the cartoon road runner has to be based on despite its tallness and speed.
Also, a coyote is much smaller than an ostrich and much bigger than a rabbit, but it's a cartoon and does not need to make sense.
