There is the ile de France (the region outside and which surrounds Paris in a 30km radius, dominated by agriculture and patchwork fields and plains. There is the Massif Central - an elevated plateaued region in the lower centre of France it covers 1000's of Km, Which alot of the peaks are volcanic landforms. There is the Pyrenees and its foothills, south of the Massif Central (and on the border with Spain) with peaks up to 3500m. There is Rhone river valley and Provence much flatter and vinevards there. There is the Alps (including the Alps Maritime, which spread all the way from North Eastern France - the Cote d'Azur (riviera) in the south.
