No you can not. Why would you want to play with less of a controller than a DualShock 3 anyway
you will have to buy a converter to do that. the converter fits a ps2 controller and has a usb plug that will fit on your ps3
no
I would go with a NO, PS2 converters dont work that well n/e way and i dont see it happen, sorry
You can only use a rock band controller on both the ps2 and the ps3 if it mentions that it is compatible for both. Controllers designated for the ps2 cannot be used on the ps3, and controllers designated for the ps3 cannot be used on the ps2.
I've heard there was an adaptor and yet you would not really have it working and instead just able to be used. The PS3 controller cost more than the PS2 controller for a reason. The PS2 controller can never work like a PS3 controller
Yes the Original 4 USB port PS3 does play PS2 games, but they stopped making those models way before the Slim PS3 was released
Ps2 had an eyetoy ?? i didnt know that lol but id guess the PS3 one is way better and no it wouldn't be the same .. technology changes Hope this helps xx
There is no way to use a PS2 controller on a standard PS3.

The only way to turn a PS2 into a PS3 is to return and exchange it
well it can go in but its not coming out the ps2 does not have enough power to play ps3 games if you want some ps3 games you have to get a ps3 if you do get a ps3 get a used 60 gb ps3 that way you can play ps2 games of ps3
No you can't do that your PSP disc is way small then the PS2 and PS3.
No, as nothing is forward compatible, though you could make millions if you could figure out a way to make ps3 controllers work for ps2, as well as ps3 games work for ps2's. Also, the ps3 controller is being updated to look a bit more like the ps2 one, as the lack of a rumble pack has gotten underneath of the skin of too many consumers. Also, the sixasis controller movement sensor seems to be more of a gimmick as it has yet to be successfully used in a hit game.
No, you can only buy additional songs if you have Rock Band for the Wii, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.
yes! just plug it in to your ps3

Most of the PS3 models can not play PS2 games and are not Backward Compatible. Yes the early 4 USB ports PS3 consoles can play some PS2 games .
So far no can do, Sony is probably not going to integrate such a feature since the PS3 has more buttons and includes the motion sensor. yes you can but u need wireless conect The PSP can be used in place of a PlayStation 3 controller under certain circumstances. The most notable example of this is Remote Play; in this mode, the PSP connects to the PS3 either through a wireless internet connection or directly with Wi-Fi between the PS3 and PSP. Using Remote Play, the user can access a majority of the PS3's features on the PSP, including but not limited to image viewing and internet browsing. Some games also support the PSP as a PS3 controller, such as Lair. Furthermore, if a PlayStation 1 game is inserted in the PS3, it can be played through the use of a PSP while in Remote Play mode. Remote Play can also be set so that the PSP can remotely turn the PS3 on and off, although in this setting, the PS3's fan and Wi-Fi will remain active even when the system is not in use.
