there is some understanding between dogs and humans like if told a dog to sit it mabe would especialy if you gave them a treat evertime they sat and if you where sad they know when your sad or if you where happy then they'd know when your sad and if you have a good natured dog when you where sad they'd try to cheer you up so yes there is a understanding

There is certainly some communication between animals and humans. Otherwise we would not be able to train dogs for instance. That is not to say that animals understand human speech.
