Answer:Yes, he does die. He dies of a twisted tummy. He was also very old and didn't really know what was going on except that he now had a family. but he was going through very hard and painful surgeries and conditions that hurt him besides being put down. i watched the film, and enjoyed it but when i saw this bit of the film, well i didn't expect it to happen and started crying when so. haven't watched again, to afraid i will start crying again and again if i a forced or if a friend tells me we are going to watch it. i didn't exactly like the film because of this scene but it's not because it's a bad film, it's because... well... JUST BECAUSE !!

Yes, there is a sequel to "Marley and Me" titled "Marley & Me: The Puppy Years." Released in 2011, it is a family-oriented film that serves as a prequel rather than a direct continuation of the original story. While it features a young version of Marley, it follows a different narrative and does not include the original cast. The film focuses on Marley’s adventures as a puppy.
