The guests on the Jerry Springer show were usually troubled people. Those that went on the Jerry Springer show as a guest would want to reveal a secret to a loved one, and it usually ended up in a psychical altercation.
Either they are payed to or told to on the show because it hypes things up....or because most of the people that would pay for such nonsense are totally ignorant.
The Jerry Springer Show was first broadcast from Jerry's hometown of Cincinnati when it debuted in 1991. At that time, it was not a controversial show at all-- Springer had originally envisioned it as an issues-oriented talk and interview program. Production of the Jerry Springer Show then moved to Chicago in 1992, and it remained there until 2009. The tone of the show gradually changed because ratings were low; it was decided that doing a controversial and confrontational talk show would provide a ratings boost (which it did). In 2009, the show's production was relocated to the Stamford Media Center in Stamford CT, at the behest of its distributor, NBCUniversal.
When you are writing about a tv show you do not underline TV show. You underline the official name for the tv show. You have to know the exact name for the show. TV show does not have to be underlined because its not proper like the real name. If I was writing about Jerry Springer i wouldn't underline "The TV show I am watching" I would undreline the show I am watching is called Jerry Springer.
