Nicholas is a wise child,who thinks like adults.He is sly,histrionic,critical and is ready to prove how wrong adults are.He is even a unique,inquisitive and romantic boy with stretch of imagination.He gives the impression that he is impertinent and mischevous but this manner of behaving is due to the isolation of the house in which he lives.
