no she is not dead but is badly hurt on her head [ maybe somwhere else but pretty sure in the head] because she tripped and fell. on the next episode you find out that she is alive and Toby takes her to the hospital in the family car and then leaves her there, goes back home, gets on his motorcycle, and disappears. bu tthen the police find tobys motorcycle crashed and dented and just completely wrecked but Toby is no where to be found.
