Grammar aside, the idea is not new. There was a process developed in the seventies called Sensurround, where minor shakes and vibrations were somehow transmitted into the seats of viewers. It was originally limited to films dealing with Earthquakes ( the first such film was entitled simply Earthquake!) but later the process was extended to war films ( shock waves from Naval guns and torpedoes- in Midway) and the terrorist crime drama- Rollercoaster. The idea and practice had its own obvious limitations, and eventually petered out, with barely a shock wave. the idea is not new.
