I think it depends on the type of electronics and how often. Some evidence is starting to show that young children's brain waves change with the use of electronics and computers. I wouldn't give a young child a cell phone, MP3 ( due to hearing damage from the ear buds in a young ear), or allow computer use over 30 minutes a day. I know some parents give young children cell phones to play games on while they are out with them, but I wouldn't advise this. A parent needs to communicate and talk with their child, to point out things in the world, and to play with them. These things were not made to be a babysitter for the parent. Until more information and research is done concerning electronics/computers I would be careful in use by children.
