Immortal is the name of the guy that she's involved with. Angel and Spike gets all jealous because she has a new love intrest. Apparently Angel and Spike have a long history with immortal but they never showed how he looks like in the Angel series.
They do sometimes, but it is not essential to watch one show to understand the other. For example, at the end of Season 4 of Angel, Angel is given an amulet to deliver to Buffy so she can win an important battle. When Angel arrives in Buffy's show, he gives it to her, with little needed explanation as to what happened in Angel's show. By watching both, it's definitely easier to understand plot points, but again, it is not completely essential. Anyway, Angel started during Buffy's 4th season, so the seasons coincide as such, "Buffy" and "Angel" respectively: 4-1, 5-2, 6-3, 7-4, then Angel's last season, 5, happens after "Buffy" has ended.
Spike made an appearance in season 1 of Angel, attempting to obtain a magical artifact that would make him invulnerable; this story line is a crossover from Buffy season 4 where Spike is very much "alive" (as in, undead) and soulless.Spike does not join the cast of Angel full time until season 5, which aired the next year after Buffy had ended. His appearance in Angel is a continuation of his character arc's final moments in "Chosen", the series finale of Buffy, where he is returned to L.A. first as a ghost, then as a corporeal vampire (and with his soul).
We dont see it in the TV series, but that doesn't mean anything! *SPOILER* In the last episode, Angel returns and they briefly discuss their future. Buffy ends with Sunnydale caving in and Buffy and the gang realizing that they must find all the potentials who are now actual Slayers. Everyone asks Buffy what she will do now that she isn't the only one, and a small smile comes to her face. For Angel/Buffy fans, it isn't a far cry to see that it is a definite possibility that she will become cookie Buffy and that they will get back together. *Watch the last episode, Chosen, to get the cookie reference :)
Buffy the Vampire Slayer began in 1997 and ended in 2003.
It ended like 6 years ago so it doesn't air on TV anymore. Though all the seasons of Buffy (and Angel) are available on disk or you can download it from the Internet That's what the person before me said but I have Direct TV and I get it from a channel called LOGO on channel 272 (: as of 11/23/10 in Austin, TX

It started while Buffy was in highschool and ended while she was out of college. But there was some scenes of her when she was from five to her teens.
At the moment there is no new news of new Buffy episodes, or Buffy-related spin-offs, but season 8 of Buffy has been released in comic book format. Penned by Joss, they are available in most good comic-book retailers, and online. :)who ever said the 8th season was angel it not!Actually there is a season 8 but not on TV it is in comic book for some odd reason i think it was because they thought it would get them more money.it was becase Buffy got cut off so did angel but have you seen his new one with faith called dollhouse!
Angel Air ended in 2006.
