Our current theory of the formation of our solar system is that the planets formed more or less in their present orbits. We do not believe that the planets (with the exception of Pluto) were "captured" by the Sun's gravity.
Most of these are a result of giant impacts
Yes. Jove is the one of the alternate names for the Roman chief god Jupiter, so "jovian" means "Jupiter-like". The four "gas giant" planets, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune, all are further from the Sun than Mars is.
The sun, followed by the gas giant planets.
There are theories that claim the Earth was formed by many disdinct, huge rocks or "planets' crashed into each other. The crashes' fragments bonded by gravity, thus making a survivable planet. It is also said that the moon was formed when a premature planet crashed into Earth. The debris joined together into a body, and thus, led to the moon.
The sister, Sabrina and Daphne, get to Ferryport Landing and go to live with their grandmother, whom they thought was dead. She keeps talking about fairy tale creatures, Everafters, living in their town. They think she's crazy--until she gets captured by a giant. The sisters have to rescue their grandmother.
Comets in the Kuiper belt are believed to have originated in the outer regions of the solar system, beyond the giant planets like Neptune. Some scientists think they may have formed close to their current location, while others suggest they migrated there from even more distant regions.
Saturn has not been found to have any comets orbiting around it. Comets are typically found in the outer reaches of the solar system in regions such as the Kuiper Belt or the Oort Cloud, rather than around gas giant planets like Saturn.
The giant planets are Jupiter Saturn Uranus and Neptune.
"Comets are cosmic snowballs of frozen gases, rock, and dust that orbit the Sun. When frozen, they are the size of a small town. When a comet's orbit brings it close to the Sun, it heats up and spews dust and gases into a giant glowing head larger than most planets." -NASA

Of the Jovian (gas giant) planets, Neptune is the smallest while Jupiter is the largest.
It depends on the term 'giant'. If 'giant' refers to larger than earth, then all of the giant planets in our solar system have 3 rings in total.
The giant planets are Jupiter Saturn Uranus and Neptune.
The four giant planets lack solid surfaces.

They are are not similar.
There are four gas giant planets in the Solar System and they are; Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune.
