If one chooses to use figures instead of words in a sentence/paragraph one must be consistent. That is use ONLY figures or ONLY words and do not mix them both.
It is good to study figures of speech so that you can recognize them in conversation later in life. People use them a lot, and since figures of speech aren't literal, straight interpretations of the words used, it is easy to get confused. Comprehend the whole passage in atleast two readings, look the question for which you gotta write the precis, find that portion in the comprehension passage, get eight points(keywords) from there, form it into sentences, use pronouns, use synonyms for those words(don't copy as it is), use single words for long sentences(that is comprehend the meaning, and get a single word for that), accomodate all the points in 60 words only( but its a rule to allow 60+2 or60-2 words).
