apparently it shows up when Bella gets a papercut and gets thrown into the vases, she cuts herself. You have to really look apparently
Yes, the flower was involved in the New Moon/2nd Twilight movie. they were shown throught the movie on trees, bushes, ect... You have to keep a close eye on them though. I thought the same way until I saw the movie again. In the picture of the flower on the cover of the book, it looked like it was dying, just like the way Bella was "dying" when Edward left her. That's what I thought it meant. Makes since huh? By the way, did you know that it took Robert Pattinson like 20 times to get the apple trick from Twiliight 1 just right? That's true.-Twi-heat
Every type of fairy is dependent upon the type of flower that they inhabit and are named accordingly. So: buttercup, rose, apple blossom, peach blossom, golden rod......

The slogan of apple is "think different"
well, the apple is always described as the forbidden fruit. The two hands holding it are pale, like Edward's. Edward is holding the "forbidden fruit" out to Bella. Another "translation" is that Bella is like the apple. Edward is so strong he could easily crush that apple in his hands and he's holding it very carefully so he wont. He doesn't want to kill her.

An apple, a flower, a ribbon and a chess piece
The cover of twilight is a pale white hand holing an apple. The pale white hanf symbolizes Edward holding Bella. Bella is an apple because to Edward she is the forbidden fruit, something he wants, but knows he could never-- should never-- have. if you look on the begining pages of the book you'll see and excert from Genesis.
