∙ 11y agoinitially she didn't but they grew to love each other. they weren't married when trunks was born but there is allot of evidence to say they get married in the 7 year gap after cell, he calls her his wife in the manga and the Japanese anime and in the dub she calls him her husband in the guide books it says they are married etc but the actual reason is unknown besides that she notices he is lonely and she sees his softer side, in an interview with akira toriyama he said that how they fell in love was similar to krillian nd 18 as bulma slowly fell in love with vegeta

So there you go lol, that was the first time he met Bulma (about episode 44/45), unless she was with the Z Fighters at some point on Earth when he arrived with Nappa, but I can't remember that.
