A mediocre Trojan archer and second prince of Troy by the name of Paris drove a Poison arrow into Achilles heel thus killing him.
Achilles was killed by Paris during the Trojan War. Paris was Helen of Troy's kidnapper whom was the woman who caused the Trojan War. Paris was described as to being a cowardly individual whom had no intentions of fighting and was why he used his arrows. He shot Achilles in the heel, that's where Achilles heel' came from. Some say that Apollo, whom was on the Trojan's side, assisted in directing the arrow. Paris probably most likely killed Achilles because Achilles was the Achaean's (Greeks) best fighter and to avenge his brother, Hector's, death.

Achilles was killed in Troy by Paris while the Greeks were invading the Trojans.
Achilles died at Troy when Paris shot him in the heel with an arrow. In some versions of the story, Apollo guides the arrow to Achilles heel. Some versions say the arrow was poisoned. The Iliad ends before Achilles' death.
Aggamemnon... Stabbed him in back with a spear. Aggamemnon was killed by Achilles who ws in turn shot by Paris.
The arrow wasn't poisoned. According to myth, the heel was Achilles' only vulnerable spot, and hitting him there seems to have caused his death. The arrow was shot by Paris and guided by Apollo. In reality, I think the scene in "Troy" is probably pretty accurate. Achilles could have been shot many time, but being a powerful warrior, may have pulled the other arrows out, or broken them off, leaving only the one in his heel when he was found dead. However, that is purely speculation.
Achilles was not immortal. He died during just prior to the sacking of Troy, killed by an arrow to the heel shot by Paris and guided by Apollo. His invulnerability - not immortality- was acquired as an infant when his mother, Thetis, dipped Achilles in the river Styx, holding him by the heel which did not gain invulnerability.
