Mary William Ethelbert Appleton "Billie" Burke (1884-1970) is best known for her role as Glinda the Good Witch of the North in The Wizard of Oz (1938). The Billie Burke Show (sitcom) was heard on CBS radio from 1943-46. She appeared in Doc Corkle which was a 1952 television sitcom. At Home with Billie Burke was her talk show in 1951-52. She also had guest appearances on many television series of the 1950s.
