The probably was that Dr. Nancy Snyderman had become the story: after the Ebola crisis, which she had reported in a fairly straightforward manner, she was observed leaving her home to get some take-out food, even though she had told viewers she was going to remain in quarantine for 21 days. Her bosses felt it looked hypocritical for her to tell others who may have been exposed to the virus to remain in quarantine, while she ignored the rules she was insisting that others follow. But when interviewed about her departure from NBC, she has insisted that the decision was hers, and that she was not fired.
