he was on the amaricans side. he was the leader of the continetal congress.
At a start he was the first governor of the state that started the American Revolution. from 1780 to 1793, all but 2 years of that. He kept up the traditions that now make us a country. He showed the English by signing the declaration of independence that he was not afraid to let them know that he believed in the course of action to free ourselves from the British rule. The British had a bounty for the head of all known Revolutionist. More anyone...
The British were looking for John Hancock and Sam Adams and also John Adams because they were great patriots and revolutionaries. They were hidding in concord and fled right after the first shots of the American revolution where fired.
John Hancock left Boston in 1775 primarily due to the escalating tensions between American colonists and British authorities, particularly in light of his prominent role in the revolutionary movement. As a leading figure in the fight for independence and a target for British officials, he sought refuge to avoid arrest. Hancock eventually relocated to Philadelphia, where he continued to advocate for colonial rights and played a significant role in the Continental Congress.
No he was not, if he signed the declaration and was a founding father he probably was not a British soldier.
He struggled against the British in the American Revolution.
