As far as I know Dinosaurs did not figure on Howdy Doody. Outside of Flintstones where they were used as beasts of burden ( Cranes) at the Slate Construction company, and as family pets- Dino.- they were not that common on fifties-sixties television. One notable exception was Cecil the Sea-Sick sea serpent ( I could never undertand why a handicap in an animal was supposed to be funny- Rudolph, Clarnece the Cross-eyed Lion ( Daktari), etc. but Cecil was an aquatic dinosaur- friendly and good-guy type in Beany And Cecil. Beany was a boy who wore a funny helmet with a propeller on the top. He accompanied his dad, Professor Huffnpuff- or maybe it was Captain Huffenpuff, on expeditions. It was a talky animal cartoon and Cecil the main zoo-feature. While not called a Dinosaur, he was an aquatic dinosaur vaguely like a seagoing T-rex with an armored or finned crest back like Godzilla. There was a multi-animal character called Flub-A-Dub vaguely like the Road Runner-cum Peacock on the Howdy Doody show but he was most emphatically NOT a dinosaur/

Who knows. it was a parody on Circus magnate Phineas T. Barnum of Barnum and Bailey fame- but it is understood Mr. Bluster did not like or cater to -Kids. Some have described him as an un-reformed Scrooge type character- maybe akin to the Child-hating bad guy Dishonest John in ( Beany and Cecil)
Mr. Ed was not a Thoroughbred horse.
In the book, Pride and Prejudice, Mr. Collins writes Mr. Bennet, advising him to "throw off your unworthy child from your affection for ever, and leave her to reap the fruits of her own heinous offence."
