All TV shows were black and white. Movies were in color. We didn't have CD's, computers, or electronics like games. There wasn't even an calculator.

No. Humans have always been able to see colour. Although there are certain colours invisible to the human eye. Television capability back in the '50s and '60s meant programmes were shown in black and white. As technology advanced we were able to see some of the shows, etc. that were formerly in in color. Such as the The Andy Griffith Show.
