Within the MGM Studios is where the Kansas scenes were filmed for "The Wizard of Oz."

Specifically, the entire film was shot within the confines of the MGM Studios. The indoor locations ended up working well for all of the sequences, indoors and outdoors. For example, the sets did not get in the way of the realism of the pre-cyclone scenes and some of the Yellow Brick Road adventures, all of which appear to have been filmed outdoors.
