Well a lot of people say that it was indeed the Captain's fault and yes it was partly his fault, they got reports of an ice burg siting so he told the crew that they were going off course then he went for a stroll? Or something and a few minutes later the iceberg struck! But the Titanic's metallic materials were not strong enough because the designer bought them off some unknown supplier. Another reason was because the were going way to fast and this was because the wanted to be the biggest, strongest, fastest ship that arrived from Belfast to New York. Some people say that they misplaced there binoculars but, I don't agree with this theory. So yes it was kind of the Captains fault! But I would agree more on human error
