Yes it was. When it hit the iceberg, six rooms in the lower part of the ship filled with water and it was more the it could handle, so it sank.

The Titanic was designed to be strong, fast and luxurious... I wouldn't say unsinkable because the white star line refused to admit that it was unsinkable and when people said that, it was actually just a rumor that everyone believed to be true.
