In the Renaissance period, da Vinci did detailed drawings of plants. Microscopes had been invented so people were studying plant anatomy. In the Middle Ages, doctors studied plants to be used for medicine. Abu Hanifa Dinawari, a Kurdish botanist, wrote a book describing almost a thousand plants in great detail in the latter part of the 800s.
In the middle ages there was no science so there was no botany, but in the Reinassance science did begin and great strides were made in all science.
Gothic architecture is a style that flourished during the high and late medieval period. It evolved from Romanesque and succeeded by Renaissance architecture.Gothic architecture is most familiar in many of the cathedrals and churches of Europe.
