As a person who watched 3 siblings all day at age 11--it was not fair to expect a child to police a number of siblings since they are not able to make the other children do as they should, which may impair their safety. Consider finding another resource if the children would be left alone more than a couple of hours daily.
well it says that there is not an age that a child can start to babysit in NJ. that means that there is not an age present

13+ to babysit in md 12 in most other states but you can be home alone for brief periods of time between 8 and 12, if the child left at home is under 8 you need a 13+ year old to be present. hope it helped :)

Legally, you are not related. You only adopted one child, the fact that there are siblings does not mean you have any relationship to them.

In Iowa, there is no specific age requirement stated in state law for a child to babysit their siblings. It is generally recommended that a child be mature enough to handle the responsibility of caring for younger siblings, and the decision is left to the discretion of the parent or guardian.
In Louisiana, a parent is legally responsible for a child until the age of majority, which is 18 years old. However, parental responsibility can extend beyond this age if the child has special needs or disabilities that warrant continued support.
14 but I'm 13 and I babysit. If u look older then nobody cares. I look like I'm 15.

I think it should be at least 18+, they have to be responsible but i've seen about 16 year olds do it too.
