Some animals that are native to the South American pampas are the great Pampa Finch, long-tailed reed finch, rheas, Geoffrey's cat, and guanaco that is a llama-like animal. The pampas are grassland regions of South America, such as in Argentina.
Such animals as the vicuña and guanaco inhabit the fringes of the desert. Gray Foxes, a few lizards and small rodents may also be seen in the deserts of South America. Arthrodods, such as insects, Spiders and scorpions, are also natives to these areas.
