The achievements of Pope Francis are yet to be realized. He has only been pope for a f short time and, right now, is in the learning process. Once he feels comfortable in his position we will begin to see Francis emerge and his style of leadership and goals for the papacy will become more evident.
Right now, (early 2015) most Catholics are baffled and confused about Pope Francis. One day he makes some very conservative statements and the next day he is very liberal. How much of this can be blamed on Pope Francis? Did he really make such statements or is this the news media's spin on the subject? Lately he has been making some major changes in the Roman Curia and 'demoting' several very conservative members and replacing them with cardinals and bishops who seem much more liberal. Some of these changes have not been popular with older, more conservative Catholics.
