measures amount of electricity usedIt depends on what kind of meter you are talking aboutone meter is on the side of your house witch measures how much eletricity you use.another kind is a voltage meter witch can tell you how many volts, amps, watts, and ohms are being pumped through a eletrical wire.AnswerWhat is colloquially known as an 'electric meter', or 'electricity meter', is correctly termed an energy meter. As the name implies, an energy meter is used to measure the amount of energy (not 'electricity', which is not a quantity!) purchased from the electricity supply company for the purpose of billing its customers. This energy is measured in units called kilowatt hours (kW.h) and, for this reason, energy meters are sometimes referred to as 'kilowatt hour meters' or 'watt hour meters'.
mf is ratio of CT ration of meter box to CT ration written on meter. ex: CT meter box: 30/5, Meter ct ration 1/1. MF : (30/5)/(1/1)= 6
Electricity Meter. I've never heard that term. The other terms are also foreign to me and I have been using measuring equipment for over 40 years. I have never seen a meter that will actually show kWh. An electrical USE meter (like what is on your home) shows kWh used. More explanation in the question would help.
He normaly dives from 10m meter platform. He does both single and syncro. In minor compotitions he will sometime compete in syncro 3m springboard
Fast and slow error based on the formula stated below: Accuracy(%) = (EDUT - EREF)/(EREF)*100 EDUT - Energy recorded/seen by Device Under Test EREF - Energy recorded/seen by Reference Standard
shading bands are used to increase the magnetic field in shunt magnet in single phase energy meter. They also used for reduce the friction error.
IT means when torque is not zero even at zero power factor?? are you in IPU??
If you do not know, and wish to stay alive, employ a qualified electrician :)
The reading on the 3-ph meter would equal the sum of the three separate readings on the single-phase meters. The neutral sides of the single phase meters do not need to be connected to the neutral wire as long as they are connected together.
A wattmeter measures power, which is the rate of doing work, expressed in watts. An energy meter measures the amount of energy consumed, usually in kilowatt hours. The meter on the wall of your house is an energy meter.

The phantom loading is that no external load is connected in actual sense and the current and pressure coils are connected seperatly so that it will consume only less power. In this connection the voltage across pressure coil will be supply voltage even if the variac is in minimum position. CONNECTION Connect a single phase supply through a single phase variac. Connect the currect coil of wattmeter M and energy meter c1 and an ammeter in series to phase terminal of singlephase variac. The pressure coil of both wattmeter and energymeter should be shorted and connected to phase of supply (not to the variac). The terminal V of wattmeter and p2, c2 of energy meter should be connected to neutral terminal of variac. PROCEDURE Keeping the variac in minimum position and switch on supply. Adjust the variac to get different reading in ammeter and note the time for 5 Revolution of energy meter disc and obtain the wattmeter reading. FORMULAE %error = (R.E - A.E)*100/A.E , WHERE, R.E is the recorded energy = n/N (n=5 & N=energymeter const.) A.E is the actual energy A.E= (wattmeter reading*time)/(3600*1000) while plotting a error graph it will be having a zig-zag shape. Normally the error can be upto 10%. According to the handbook, it is a meter error and you should call the toll-free number given on the box or inside the handbook. They will probably send you a new meter.
A three-phase meter can be used for single phase while the reverse is not the case.
Hii creep is a phenomenon that can adversely affect accuracy, that occurs when the meter disc rotates continuously with potential applied and the load terminals open circuited. A test for error due to creep is called a creep test.
