i only know of one way for emerald.
go to the tower (top right) and go to the upper right corner to the PC.
put the Pokemon you want to clone (7@once) then save, take the Pokemon out of the PC, then go to any of the ladies at any counter, she will say she needs to save when it is saving, turn off the power(while it says SAVING, DONT TURN OFF THE POWER) then you have a clone
