It all started in the 1960's when New York began to build the World Trade Center in lower Manhatten. Before building, they had to tear down many buildings that took a couple of years. Later in the early 1970's the Two identical twin towers were beginning to take shape. By 1972, the first tower was roughly finished, and then in 1973 they were both roughly finished. They were later detailed. In 1978 Tower one of the World trade center was installes with a huge television entenna. The tower 1 World trade center wasn't as popular as tower 2, partly because you could not go to the top of the building. By the time the World trade center wasworld famous, the 21st century was beginning very quickly. In 1993 the World Trade Center car garage was bombed by terrorists, and took close to a year to repair. 2000 was the last full year for the Twin Towers, and on September 11th 2001 the World Trade Center was hit by jet planes, 1 in each tower, and within 57 minutes tower 2 collapsed leaving Tower 1 to collapse shortly after, leaving a huge scar in lower Manhatten. In 2009 the new One World Trade Center took shape and is now nearing completion.

What are the similarities and not the differences between mitosis and meiosis?

Both mitosis and meiosis are processes of cell division, but they have key differences. Mitosis results in two daughter cells that are genetically identical to the parent cell, while meiosis results in four daughter cells with half the number of chromosomes. Meiosis is responsible for producing gametes for sexual reproduction, while mitosis is involved in growth, repair, and asexual reproduction.

What happens before meiosis begin?

Interphase. The process of meiosis has many similarities to the process of mitosis: chromosomes replicate before the process begins, and shorten and thicken to look like the chromosomes at the beginning of mitosis (condensation).

Does cell replacement occur in mitosis or meiosis?

Its meiosis. Mitosis is cell division.

Is metaphase a phase in mitosis or meiosis?

Metaphase is a phase in both mitosis and meiosis.

Is prometaphase in meiosis?

No, prometaphase is a stage in mitosis, not meiosis. In meiosis, there is a prophase I stage that is similar to prometaphase in mitosis.

Do tetrads form in mitosis or meiosis?

Meiosis

Does mitosis or meiosis occur more frequently in your body?

mitosis occurs more frequently then meiosis

What occurs in plants and animal mitosis or meiosis?

Mitosis. Meiosis is only concerned in sex cells.

What is created by each of the processes in meiosis and mitosis?

meiosis is created from sex cells and mitosis is nucleus

Is DNA replication involved in mitosis or meiosis?

DNA replication is involved in both mitosis and meiosis.

What are the similarities and differences between meiosis and mitosis?

Meiosis and mitosis are both processes involved in cell division, but they have key differences. Similarities: Both processes involve the division of a single cell into two daughter cells. Both processes involve the replication of DNA. Differences: Meiosis results in the formation of four daughter cells with half the number of chromosomes as the parent cell, while mitosis results in two daughter cells with the same number of chromosomes as the parent cell. Meiosis involves two rounds of cell division, resulting in genetic diversity, while mitosis involves only one round of cell division. Meiosis is involved in the formation of gametes (sex cells), while mitosis is involved in growth, repair, and asexual reproduction.

Meiosis II is similar to which process?

Meiosis II is identical to Mitosis. Meiosis is split into two stages, Meiosis I and Meiosis II. Meiosis I is similar to mitosis however the cells resulting from it have half as many chromosomes as the parent cell.
