You might find these a bit odd:

- We take our shoes of while entering classrooms, some offices ect...

- In some countries their busses stop anyways, but in Finland you need to wave for the driver to stop

- Prices here are not debateable.

- You are allowed to use the phone on the bus, but you may not YELL TO IT!

- While you are in a lift, you might not want to speak. I don't really understand it myself but some people shush you if you tend to speak...

- We rarely call your teachers/bosses by their last name. We tend to use the first one.

- When a Finn sees a friend (a good old friend or boss ect... wich they have not seen in some time) they shake hands and make eyecontact. Usually just say 'Moi' (=Hello).

- Smoking is allowed, but only in the accepted areas.

- We usually don't smoke inside our homes. Usually means usually, so there are some who smoke.

- And in sauna it's considered polite to ask before throwing more water on to the hot rocks. Some might not ask and you are allowed to leave at any point you like.

And one more: We don't complain about some mistakes. We should but we don't.
